Voice - the next big thing
Voice is becoming the next big thing
Munich Airport International has just introduced Josie Pepper, a humanoid robot to answer customer service queries. With voice and #AI artificial intelligence developin fast, several use cases particularly for travel and service keep growing.
In Japan, humanoid robots have already become a regular feature, welcoming clients in department stores and giving company to people living on their own.
IBM have recently launched #WatsonAssistant to enable Amazon #Alexa like voice and self kearning capabilities for a large variety of apps. It is the voice technology behind Josie Pepper and makes #AugmentedIntelligence become true.
Augmented intelligence is a phrase formed by Thierry Gnych during his presentation at think future - Hamburg Aviation Conference , pointing out how covnitive intelligence makes data alive and changes the way we interact with customers. Check out Thierry’s presentation here or watch the live stream from the event:
Pepper is the robot which was developed by SoftBank Robotics US and adds human touches to robotic interactions. It has been used several times among others by Hamburg Airport at specific occasions for customer interaction.
Hotels using Watson Assistant could suddenly ensure that preferences of customers such as air conditioning status are remembered. Several more use cases can be imagined for travel. Last nit least, voice will ultimately help to overcome the language barrier.
